Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! We hope that this will be a great year for our students, teachers, and families.
PTO survives due to the involvement of volunteers. We would love for you to become involved in any way you can. PTO will meet on the first Wednesday of each month at AMS at 11:30 am. We have several roles to fill, so if you are interested in becoming a chair or committee member please attend our first meeting on 9/6/23, or contact me (amspto@athenscsd.org).
The PTO at AMS is involved in the planning and funding of extra events that enrich the middle school experience for our students, such as school dances, scavenger hunt, field day, graduation and more throughout the year.
We also aim to look after our dedicated teachers who work hard every day. PTO organizes dinner for teachers and staff on parent teacher conference evenings. We look after our teachers by providing gifts and lunches during teacher appreciation week. We also aim to support teachers with funding or supplies as they are needed throughout the year.
In order to do this, we need funding from our families. This year we hope not to have to run any specific fundraisers, however we are asking for donations. You may send in checks or cash in an envelope with your child marked for the attention of PTO, or simply scan the paypal QRCode (@amspto) and make your donation directly to AMS PTO. If we need extra funding for specific events during the year we will reach out at the time and your donation will be used towards that event. If you own or know of a business that would like to sponsor an event, or donate money or food for an event, please let us know at amspto@athenscsd.org.
