Principal's Message

AMS Families, Students, and Staff,

It is with great excitement and heartfelt pride that I return to Athens Middle School, this time as your principal! As an alum of Ohio University and a proud Bulldog myself, it feels incredibly special to lead in the very school where I spent ten of my thirteen years teaching.

Over the past 14 years, I’ve served in many roles; most recently, I had the privilege of supporting our district as the assistant principal at East and Morrison-Gordon Elementary Schools. That experience deepened my love for this community and reminded me how truly special Athens is at every level.

As we head into a new school year, my focus is on relationships, responsiveness, and rigor. I want every student to feel known, every family to feel welcomed, and every staff member to feel empowered. I believe in building strong partnerships with our community and creating a culture where curiosity, compassion, and collaboration are at the core of everything we do.

I can’t wait to work alongside you this year as we continue to strengthen what makes AMS such a special place. Let’s make it a year to remember.
